MADISON – In the first candidate forum of Wisconsin's 2026 race for governor, five Democrats and one Republican fielded questions on the future of technology and the economy in the Badger State.
In attendance at the forum, held by the Wisconsin Technology Council and moderated by WISN-TV political director Matt Smith, were the following Democrats: state Rep. Francesca Hong, Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez, state Sen. Kelda Roys, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and former Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation head Missy Hughes. Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann was the lone Republican in attendance, with U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany absent.
