YPSILANTI, MI — A rock legend is teaming up with a national animal rights organization to urge Domino’s Pizza to change its menu.
Joan Jett has joined the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ campaign pushing Domino’s Pizza to add vegan cheese to its U.S. menus.
A billboard with Jett’s face and the phrases “Add a kind slice” and “Vegan cheese, please” can be found at 700 W. Cross St. near Ann Arbor. The billboard is less than half a mile away from a Domino’s location, 953 Washtenaw Ave., and less than 10 miles away from the chain’s headquarters, 30 Frank Lloyd Wright Drive.
“Vegan pizza covered in melty dairy-free cheese is deliciously indulgent and spares cows from being used as milk machines until their bodies give out and they’re sent to slaughter,” PETA Vice President Daniel
