JACKSON TWP. – The former Royal Docks Brewing Co. and its founders John and Adriana Bikis have filed a counterclaim in the ongoing legal dispute with investor Andrew Gould of Gouldram Holdings LLC.
The claim filed on Oct. 27 in Stark County Common Pleas Court is a response to the civil lawsuit brought by Gould in June. Both parties have claimed that the other failed to uphold their end of a financial deal that was designed to grow the brewery. Royal Docks closed earlier this year.
"This dispute arises out of an investor who displaced the founder of a beloved 10-year-old local brewery and business, ran the brewery into the ground, took out loans and opened multiple bank accounts using the founder's signature, EIN business tax ID number, and social-security number (without his knowledge)
