SEBRING, Fla. - Five people were injured when a vehicle crashed into the side of a Publix in Sebring on Wednesday at around 6:30 p.m.
What we know:
According to Sebring officials, one pedestrian was hit, and four others were injured when a car crashed into an exterior wall of the Publix at Southgate Shopping Center on US 27 on Wednesday night.
Highlands County Fire Rescue also responded to the scene to assist the injured.
The backstory:
Sebring Police say the 73-year-old driver suffered a broken arm while his three passengers received minor injuries when the driver mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake when pulling into a parking spot.
