Remembrance Day, observed annually on Nov. 11, recognizes the sacrifices made by armed forces members who died in the line of duty. The day lands on a Tuesday this year, and is a statutory holiday in Alberta.

Every year on Remembrance Day, CPKC hosts a ceremony to honour veterans. The ceremony includes a moment of silence at 11 a.m., followed by a train whistle at 11:02 a.m. Refreshments will be serviced from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ceremony takes place at CPKC’s Memorial Squa
