In a rare taste of victory for the resistance, a jury acquitted Sean Dunn—eternally our Sandwich Guy—of misdemeanor assault in a DC federal court yesterday. Dunn has become something of a local hero for Washingtonians and other opponents of the Trump administration, many of whom have been following the story since that fateful salami grinder soared through the air outside the Subway on 14th and U streets in August. US Attorney for DC Jeanine Pirro charged him with felony assault, but failed to secure an indictment.
