MONITOR TWP, MI — Police are looking for a probationer and habitual shoplifter after he allegedly injured two Bay County Sheriff’s deputies while fleeing from his latest crime.

The two deputies at about 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 2 responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Meijer store at 2980 E. Wilder Road in Monitor Township. Loss prevention officers told dispatchers a 45-year-old Flint man was in the process of stealing collectible gaming cards, said Sheriff Troy R. Cunningham.

Meijer staff recognized the man from numerous other shoplifting incidents throughout the state, the sheriff added.
