LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Flight reductions have been announced at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) for Friday, Nov. 7, following the Federal Aviation Administration’s order to scale down routes across the country due to the ongoing government shutdown.
SDF spokesperson Natalie Chaudoin is a part of the FAA’s list of 40 airports that are reducing flight capacity beginning Friday.
So far, 10 passenger flights have been canceled, with most being to large hub airports. Chaudoin said those 10 flights account for 6.5% of the airport’s total passenger flights for the day.
