WASHINGTON, DC — THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS FIGHTING A FEDERAL COURT ORDER ISSUED ON THURSDAY to release full SNAP benefits to recipients. President Donald Trump on Friday asked a federal appeals court to block U.S. District Judge John J. McConnell’s order that it distribute November’s full monthly SNAP benefits amid a U.S. government shutdown, even as some states like Wisconsin said they were moving quickly to get the money to people.
