STETSON, Maine — A man was arrested Thursday after fleeing from deputies in Stetson, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office.

Shortly before 10:30 a.m. Nov. 6, deputies responded to a residence on Mullen Road at the request of Maine Probation and Parole Officers, who were attempting to locate 40-year-old Mackenzie Sibley on a probation revocation warrant for absconding on felony convictions, the sheriff's office said in a social media post .

Upon arrival, Sibley barricaded himself in a bathroom and refused to exit, according to officials. He was reportedly in possession of a large hunting-style knife. Additional law enforcement resources, including K9 Memphis from the sheriff’s office, were called to assist.
