The Canadian star also earned nominations for best pop vocal album for “Swag” and best pop solo performance for his song, “Daises.”

Halifax-raised producer Cirkut, born Henry Walter, is also in the running for album of the year for his work on Lady Gaga’s “Mayhem.”
