Grammy nominations came out on Friday morning, and Kendrick Lamar continued to dominate with nine nominations.
There was one name that was noticeably absent, however. That's right, there was no Taylor Swift among the artists nominated, and nothing for her new album, The Life Of A Showgirl. But fret not, Swifties! The only reason she isn't nominated is the fact that the album released just after the cutoff for the work to be included in the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Eligibility for this year's Grammy Awards ended on August 30, and The Life Of A Showgirl released on October 3. Since the pop album produced by Swedish duo Max Martin and Shellback has broken several streaming and sales records -- including the most vinyl sales in a week in the modern era -- it's extremely likely that it will be up for plenty of honors at the 69th Grammy Awards next year.
The 68th Grammy Awards will take place on February 1, 2026.
