Mark Sanchez has been relieved from his role at Fox Sports, one month after the Oct. 4 stabbing incident in Indianapolis .

PEOPLE can confirm that Sanchez, 38, is no longer employed by the network. He first joined Fox as an analyst in July 2021.

A spokesperson for Fox Sports tells PEOPLE, “We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network. There will be no further comment at this time.”
