MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A Henning, Tennessee, man was accused of illegally killing three deer on the West Tennessee State Penitentiary [WTSP], where hunting is prohibited, back in January, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency [TWRA].
Terry Sellers, 53, pled guilty to two counts of illegal possession and one count of hunting without permission while in the Lauderdale County General Sessions Court.
Sellers will lose his hunting privileges for six years and must pay $17,500 in restitution to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. He is also required to pay $850 to a taxidermist.
In January 2025, it all started when TWRA Lieutenant Tim Ward said he received a report about a 15-point, double drop-tine deer that had been killed in Lauderdale County.
