CANTON – Metallus CEO Mike Williams provided a summary of third-quarter results on Nov. 7 and assured investors that operations would "continue without disruption" amid ongoing negotiations with United Steelworkers Local 1123 .
The union rejected a tentative agreement on Oct. 30, and the current contract was extended until Jan. 29. Details about the agreement have not been publicly disclosed.
"While we're disappointed by the outcome, we remain committed to securing a fair agreement that supports our employees and aligns with Metallus' long-term, strategic goals," he said.
The union represents about 1,200 steelworkers at Metallus.
Highlights of the company's third-quarter results include:
Net sales of $305.9 million — compared to net sales of $227.2 million during the same period
