The Flagstaff Eagles girls volleyball team advanced to the second round of the 4A Conference state championship tournament Thursday after defeating the Thunderbird Titans in straight sets at home in the War Memorial Gymnasium.
The fourth-seeded Eagles cruised by the No. 13-seeded Titans. Junior middle blocker Ivy Clevinger got the match started with a quick kill on the first point, and the Eagles never looked back, going ahead 7-2.
