The funeral for former Vice President Dick Cheney will be later this month. He died at age 84 on Nov. 3.
The former businessman served under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2008. Bush called him "the one I needed" as a VP and called him a "calm and steady presence in the White House amid great national challenges." Cheney was highly instrumental in pushing the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.
He is survived by his wife Lynne and daughters Mary and Liz.
As of Friday, Nov. 7, President Donald Trump has not made a public comment about Cheney's death.
Flags at the White House have been lowered, but the president has not issued a national proclamation to honor the former national leader.
Here's what we know about when, where Cheney's funeral will be and whether he will lie in state.
