The University of Colorado Boulder will enter into a partnership with a private developer to construct a roughly 1,650-person capacity student housing building next to the University Heights neighborhood.

The University of Colorado Board of Regents approved plans for the student housing project on Thursday at its regular meeting at the Colorado Springs campus. The new building will be constructed on Colorado Avenue in a residential area near the intersection of Regent Drive and Colorado Avenue. The site is located directly across Colorado Avenue from the Engineering Center and down the road from Folsom Field.
