Jammu: Crime Branch (EOW) Jammu has apprehended Fayaz Ahmed Bhat, son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat, resident of Chadoora, Budgam, who was wanted in connection with FIR No. 110/2023 under Sections 419, 420, 120-B IPC. In 2023, an FIR was registered based on a written complaint from Javaid Iqbal of Poonch. A charge sheet was presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Poonch, on October 28, 2025, against the accused. Fayaz Ahmed Bhat is accused of cheating the complainant out of Rs. 4,20,000 on the pretext of securing a government job as Panchayat Accountant through JKSSRB. He had been absconding for the past three months. During the investigation, it was revealed that two prior cases were registered against him: FIR No. 22/2022 under Sections 420, 120-B IPC read with Section 5(2) of the POCSO
