WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) - It's not just people who are being affected by the delay in federal SNAP benefits.
The Jefferson County SPCA is letting the public know about its Pet Pantry that can help when pet owners are going through hard times.
In a post on the organization's Facebook page, "At the Jefferson County SPCA, we know that life can get tough—and when it does, keeping your pets fed shouldn’t be one more worry. That’s why we’ve quietly maintained a Pet Food Pantry, stocked with donated bags of dog and cat food we aren’t able to use in the shelter but are still perfectly good."
The post adds that supplies vary, and to call ahead at (315) 782-3260 to make sure they have an item. However, they will help. "No judgment. Just support."
