Panic gripped visitors at Sukhna Lake on Thursday evening when a man drove his car onto the pedestrian track with his family inside. The white Swift car, in which the driver’s wife and children were also seated, was seen moving along the walkway — an area strictly prohibited for vehicles.

According to eyewitnesses, people on the track were startled when they suddenly saw the car approaching. Many rushed to the sides to avoid being hit, while others shouted loudly to alert the driver. However, the driver, with the car windows rolled up, reportedly did not hear their calls and continued driving ahead.

Hearing the commotion, police personnel from the Sukhna Lake police post quickly reached the spot. They positioned themselves ahead on the track and signalled the driver to stop. Upon questio
