Marvel star and one of Northern Nevada's most famous residents, Jeremy Renner, has been accused by Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou of threats including during a drunken rant at his home on Mount Rose Highway just outside of Reno.

In an explosive piece, first reported in the tabloid Daily Mail and on her Instagram, Zhou, 37, says the two dated and Renner cheated and was abusive. She accuses Renner, 54, of sending pornographic messages. Zhou said that during a meeting at his home in Reno, she was "scared for her life,” as he drank. She also said the "Hawkeye" star threatened to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement after she confronted him about his behavior.

Zhou directed the documentary "Chronicles of Disney" and animated feature "Stardust Future: Stars and Scars." Renner stars in both. On
