On loan from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum through Dec. 5
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The George Brett Pine Tar Bat is now on display at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory through Dec.5.
The bat is on loan from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York.
The George Brett Pine Tar Bat gained icon status after the dramatic July 24, 1983 game between the Kansas City Royals and the New York Yankees, when Brett’s home run was famously reversed for excessive pine tar. This call sparked a classic moment in baseball history.
The bat’s visit coincides with George Brett being honored as this year’s Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory Living Legend Award recipient, celebrating his incredible career and enduring impact on the game.
The museum is located at 800 W
