Over 830,000 Peloton bikes recalled due to a fall and injury risk

MARYLAND – More than 830,000 Peloton bikes have been recalled due to a fall and injury risk, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced Thursday.

Peloton recalled certain Peloton Original Series Bike+ units after receiving three reports of the seat post breaking and detaching from the bike during use. Two people reported injuries from a fall.

Identifying the Recalled Bikes

Approximately 833,000 bikes were recalled for posing a fall and injury hazard to users. The recall affects Peloton Original Series Bike + units with the model number “PL02” and serial numbers beginning with the letter “T.” (You can find the bike’s serial number inside the fro
