WASHINGTON — A teenage girl is facing charges after police say she dragged a man for several blocks during a carjacking over the summer.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the reported carjacking happened in the 1100 block of Rhode Island Ave. NW, around 7:15 a.m. on June 7.
Investigators say a 16-year-old girl jumped into the car after the driver, an unidentified man, pulled over. The girl allegedly got into the driver's seat and tried to drive away.
When the victim tried to stop the teen from driving off in his car, police say the girl kept going, dragging the man for several blocks before getting away.
The man was seriously injured in the carjacking. Police did not go into further detail regarding his current condition.
