A rapist who attacked his victim inside a restaurant has been jailed. Abdul Helim, 50, was also convicted of possession of indecent images of children.

The 50-year-old, of Grange Avenue, Oldham , had denied both charges but was found guilty after following a three day trial.

Chester Crown court heard how the victim met Helim at the India Garden Restaurant in Frodsham. The pair formed a sexual relationship together and would meet at the restaurant.

However, in late 2022, Helim asked the victim to do something which she did not consent to. Despite her refusal, he went on to rape the woman.
