Minneapolis voters gave Mayor Jacob Frey a third term in office earlier this week.

Frey emerged as the winner after an instant run-off on Wednesday morning, which included the second- and third-choice votes cast during the election.

Dark areas on the map show the highest vote totals for a candidate — lighter shades show how close the top two candidates were in those precincts.

High turnout in Frey strongholds

Wards 11, 12 and 13 favored Frey. As the table above shows, these wards had the most active voters. Notably, Ward 12 is led by council member Aurin Chowdhury, who endorsed Omar Fateh.
