Carleton invited to national camp

WNBA veteran Bridget Carleton of Chatham is set to attend the Canada Basketball senior women’s national team training camp starting Sunday in Victoria. Article content Article content Article content

Twenty players were invited to camp as the team prepares for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup qualifying tournament in March in Istanbul, Turkey.

The top three teams in Canada’s group in Turkey automatically earn bids to the 2026 World Cup next September in Germany. Carleton was a first-team all-star when Canada placed fourth at the 2022 World Cup.
