Rosé has officially made Grammys history.
The 28-year-old, a member of K-pop supergroup Blackpink , became the first K-pop idol to have her song be nominated in the Grammys’ main six, general field categories . These awards include album of the year; record of the year; song of the year; best new artist; producer of the year, non-classical; and songwriter of the year, non-classical.
Rosé and her collaborator Bruno Mars nabbed nominations in two of these categories — record of the year, honoring the recording of the song, and song of the year, honoring the songwriting itself — along with a nod in the best pop duo/group performance category for their smash hit, “APT.”
