Gov. Kathy Hochul greenlit a controversial, President Trump-backed natural-gas pipeline off the Big Apple’s coast Friday – a decision that came after a public push from the White House.
Trump hammered Hochul this week on his Truth Social platform for stalled pipeline projects he claimed would help “OUT OF CONTROL” energy prices.
By the week’s end, state Department of Environment Conservation regulators had OKed a water-quality permit to the Northeast Supply Enhancement pipeline — and Hochul said she’d approve it to forestall energy shortages she argued would be caused by Republicans fighting green projects.
