GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Online retail giant Amazon is reviving stalled plans for a new facility that will complement its existing operations south of Grand Rapids.
The Gaines Township Planning Commission in late October signed off on the company’s revised plans for a new delivery station and sortation facility at 4495 68th St. SE, which is anticipated to work in tandem with its existing facility in the township.
The planning commission previously approved a site plan for the facility in 2022, but Amazon put the project on hold due to internal changes, according to township documents.
