PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - A former residential support specialist previously employed at the Pinecrest Support Center in Pineville pleaded guilty to hitting a disabled person, according to Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office.

Dominic Lott, 25, pled guilty to one count of cruelty to a person with infirmities.

According to the AG’s office, while employed at the Pinecrest Support Center, Lott repeatedly abused a resident at the center with a mop handle.

The victim reportedly has mental and communication disabilities and requires 24-hour care.

Lott has been sentenced to one year of prison and one year of supervised probation afterwards.
