Two Macomb County men were found dead at a Shelby Township car dealership Friday afternoon in an incident described by authorities as a double homicide.

Shelby Township Police Department officers were dispatched to Star Auto Sales on Ryan Road at 12:28 p.m. Friday to conduct a welfare check, the department said in a social media post .

Inside the business, officers found the bodies of two men, a 48-year-old from Clinton Township and a 40-year-old from Shelby Township, police said.

As of Friday afternoon, police were still at the scene investigating.

Authorities have not identified either victim by name and have not released further details, including how the men died.
