PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Losing a family member can be a difficult time in people's lives.
Brynne Behringer is a mother of three children and about three years ago, the family lost their father, Mike Behringer.
His sudden passing was a surprise to everyone, especially the family. One way Brynne copes with the loss is to write and journal.
"It's probably the most unconventional thing because I'm not a writer, but, you know, I have a journal next to my bed and that's because I have thoughts and overnight. And so, when I think of something, I write it down to not forget," Behringer said.
Eventually, through writing, journaling and consoling her children, this process turned into a children's book called "The Stars That Stay" by Brynne Behringer.
The book is around 36 pages with illustratio
