TAMPA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - A Tampa man is facing five years in prison for threatening federal officials.

A criminal complaint charges Robert Logan Shoecraft III, 34, with interstate communication of a threat to injure and kill.

According to the complaint, in May 2024, Shoecraft called the office of a member of the House of Representatives and left an offensive, expletive-laden voicemail which included, “we’re coming for you, we’re gonna [redacted] kill you.”

On Oct. 31 of this year, Shoecraft sent a direct message through social media to the wife of a federal official who serves as a White House advisor, stating, “You and your husband will be dragged through the streets like Mussolini ... after all this is done.
