CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- One of six Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles made a stop in Charlottesville this week, bringing smiles, photos and plenty of nostalgia along with it.
The Wienermobile has been spreading joy across the country since 1936. Created by Carl Mayer, the nephew of Oscar Mayer, the iconic hot dog-shaped vehicle first hit the road during the Great Depression with one goal: to lift spirits and make people smile.
