A massive fire broke out in a cluster of huts near Rithala Metro Station in New Delhi late on Friday night, injuring two people, including a child, officials said.
According to Delhi Fire Services (DFS), the control room received a call about the incident around 10:56 pm. Fire officer SK Dua said the blaze was declared a Medium category fire due to its intensity.
Initially, 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, but as the fire spread rapidly, more units were dispatched, bringing the total to over 15 fire tenders. In total, 29 fire vehicles were engaged in the operation.
