(KRON) — A teenage girl from Gilroy unknowingly bit into a razor blade while eating a candy bar from her Halloween basket on Nov. 5, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

“[The] girl bit into a Milky Way candy bar and discovered a razor blade shoved into the nougat,” Gilroy PD said. “Immediately the next morning, the family reported the discovery.”

The girl was not seriously injured by the razor blade, police said. She told police that she only collected trick-or-treat candy in neighborhoods surrounding her home on Westwood Drive. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Gilroy PD.
