LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- Flights are being canceled due to the government shutdown.
As the shutdown continues, more flights will be canceled. According to reports, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) instructed airlines to reduce their flights due to a shortage of air traffic controllers during the government shutdown.
"I actually flew earlier this week, and there was a delay, but we're expecting that. So, we just got here a little early. Thankfully, our flight wasn't cancelled because there are hundreds that have been. We're just rolling with the punches. We know that our next flight in Houston will be delayed. I already got the notification, but at least it wasn't cancelled; we're thankful for that," Airline traveler Cody Heard said.
