CHARLESTON, W.Va. –On Friday, the state Public Service Commission gave their approval for the merger of two Logan County public service districts, however they need to transfer certain outstanding bonds.

Buffalo Creek PSD and Logan County PSD will now merge into one. The PSC said the bonds that are owed by Buffalo Creek are transferred to Logan County PSD.

The Logan County Commission asked the PSC to approve the merge because all of Buffalo Creek’s board members resigned in February and Logan County PSD has been in charge of the operations. Buffalo Creek serves 1,495 water and 1,830 wastewater customers.
