Despite being labelled as ‘Bangladeshi’ by the Delhi Police and pushed back across the border, the families of Sunali and Sweety Bibi in Birbhum district of West Bengal have now received enumeration forms for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voters’ list from the Election Commission of India (ECI) at their homes.

After the Delhi Police arrested the pregnant Sunali and Sweety as ‘Bangladeshi infiltrators’, the BSF allegedly sent them to Bangladesh under the cover of darkness. Now, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), who represent the Election Commission of India, have delivered enumeration forms to their homes in their native village in Birbhum district.
