SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Hurricane Melissa may have struck over a week ago, but thousands are without power, clean water, or the essentials they may need.
The impact of the hurricane has reached well beyond the Caribbean. A woman, currently living in Sioux City, at home, feels the heartbreak and anxiety from miles away.
"There's not a lot of necessities, you know, the essentials that you and I take for granted to purchase toothpaste, the ability to go wash yourself. To do the things that your day-to-day care. There's nothing there. I think that's my biggest concern, still is their inability to provide for themselves," said Michelle Munsen.
