Entering the 2022 season, only 13 players had won a Silver Slugger Award as a rookie since it was established in 1980. But after the Athletics' Nick Kurtz won the honor for the '25 campaign , it marked four straight years in which a rookie had achieved the feat.

That streak underscores the continued infusion of tremendous young talent into the big leagues over the past several years. Here is a look at each of the 17 players to win a Silver Slugger Award as a rookie.

Nick Kurtz , 1B, 2025 Athletics

Kurtz turned in one of the finest rookie campaigns in MLB history in 2025, leading rookies with 36 home runs and a 1.002 OPS for the A's. He made history on July 25 in Houston, when he became the first A's player and the first rookie in MLB history to hit four home runs in a single game.
