Chennai: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall for four districts in Tamil Nadu today, Saturday, November 8th, due to an atmospheric depression prevailing over southern parts of India.

According to a bulletin from the Chennai Meteorological Centre, the districts of Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, and Thoothukudi are likely to experience heavy rains today. The wet spell is expected to continue into Sunday for Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts.

“On Sunday, November 9, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in South Tamil Nadu and at a few places in North Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and Karaikal areas tomorrow. Heavy rain is likely at a few places in the hilly areas of Tirunelveli district and Kanyakumari district”
