Syracuse, N.Y. — After each syracuse.com high school football Game of the Week, one player will be selected who stood out among the bunch.

This week’s game featured a Class B sectional semifinal matchup between No. 1 New Hartford and No. 4 Indian River. The Spartans avenged last season’s Section III final loss with a 37-34 victory over the Wolves.
