Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch four new Vande Bharat Express trains on Saturday, November 8, taking the number of services in the country to 164, as part of a significant effort to enhance intercity rail connectivity. These new trains are expected to foster economic activity, enhance regional mobility, and encourage area tourism by drastically reducing travel times between key locations.
The new Vande Bharat trains will run between Banaras–Khajuraho, Lucknow–Saharanpur, Firozpur–Delhi, and Ernakulam–Bengaluru. These new semi-high-speed trains, being developed by Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF), will run on the following timings.
