HILLSBORO Ore. (KPTV) - Following a retrial, a man was convicted for a second time of killing and then burning the body of a woman in 2018 in Beaverton, according to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office on Friday.
On Thursday, a Washington County jury again found Norberto Nestor Muniz Jr. guilty of murder and first-degree abuse of a corpse after Amy Low was found dead.
On Nov. 17, 2018, Beaverton police were called to a home off of Southwest Allen Boulevard after a caller reported seeing something suspicious.
Officers searched the house and found a badly burned body, which was finally identified as Low in January 2019.
According to the DA’s office, Low lived at the house with Muniz and another man. Investigators determined that Low had been beaten to death and then her body
