WINDSOR, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - The Windsor County Sheriff's Department said Friday evening that a search warrant was being executed on U.S. Route 5 to the north of Birch Heights in Windsor.

The Vermont HAZMAT team said at around 10:00 p.m. that they were also on the scene with six technicians.

Local Windsor and Springfield police were also reportedly at the scene, and the public was asked to avoid the area, though the road was reportedly just partially closed.

According to authorities, "multiple individuals" have already been cited, but the details of the charges were not provided.
