HENNING, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Lauderdale County man lost his hunting license and faces a steep fine after illegally killing three deer on state property in January.
According to a report from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, a lieutenant received word that a 15-point, double drop-tine buck had been killed and launched an investigation.
The recognizable deer was known to frequent the land surrounding the West Tennessee State Penitentiary (WTSP), where hunting is prohibited, the TWRA reported.
Here are instructions on how to watch WSMV4 live on various platforms.
The investigation led the lieutenant to 53-year-old Terry Sellers, of Henning, Tennessee. A warrant for his cell phone data was approved, which tied Sellers to the state property and the illegal killing of three bucks.
