A razor blade was found inside a Milky Way bar when a teenage girl bit into it after she went trick or treating, the Gilroy Police Department said Friday.

Police said they received a report on Wednesday regarding a teenage girl who bit into a Milky Way bar and discovered a razor blade shoved into the nougat. The family reported the incident to the police department the next morning, according to authorities.

Officials said the teenager was not seriously injured.

The teen told investigators she had only gone trick or treating in neighborhoods surrounding her home on Westwood Drive, according to authorities.
